Episode 38: Why does the Church not talk about sex?

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Within in the Church, talking about sex is often taboo. We avoid healthy conversations and say “true love waits”, but what was God’s plan for sex? How can the Church have better conversations about sex to not place shame on women?

This conversation with Mo Isom is so important for us to walk in freedom around the topic of sex. The Church needs to be having conversations that are uncomfortable but incredibly important! But how can we talk about it?

Meet Mo

Mo Isom Aiken is the New York Times Bestselling author of Wreck My Life: Journeying from Broken to Bold and the author of Sex, Jesus, and the Conversations the Church Forgot. She is a nationally sought after speaker, a popular faith-based blogger and a zealous voice rising up for her generation. She was also an All-American goalkeeper for the LSU Women’s Soccer team as well as the first female to train with and try out for an SEC men’s football team. While her young life was riddled with great personal tragedy – including battling an eating disorder, overcoming the suicide of her father, struggling with promiscuity, and surviving a horrific car accident—Mo was miraculously saved and transformed by the grace of Jesus and is now a Holy Spirit-filled daughter of the God who isn’t afraid to speak bold, raw, courageous Truth to a generation being crushed under the weight of their sin, their circumstances and the lies of the enemy. Mo lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Jeremiah Aiken, and their 2 daughters, Auden and Asher, and new son, Ronan.
