After a trip back to Oklahoma for a few days, we have a lot to be Thankful for! Yes, we celebrated Thanksgiving and that always helps people be thankful. But I’m in a state of shock at how blessed we are!
A huge thank you to the amazing women who threw us our shower. We had a blast! I’m so thankful for the friends and family who are pouring blessings and prayers over our little one.
A huge thank you to our friends and family for gifts to our baby girl. I can’t believe how much she already has and she won’t be here for three more months!! We were very blessed with all our friends and family have given us. We’ve been getting lots of stuff in the mail everyday for her! So much fun!!
A huge thank you to my brother & sis-in-law. They gave us bags and bags of clothes!!! Our niece will be 10 months older than our baby, so she’ll be outgrowing clothes as we are ready for them. Couldn’t be better timing
Thankfully Taelyn is a spoiled little thing with tons of cute clothes!!!
A huge thank you to Marty & Nancy for doggie sitting our first born! The hard part about going to visit OK is having to leave the pup behind, and we’re so thankful for people willing to take in the famous Jack Bauer James.
An extremely huge thank you to Lee Jackson. Our trip to OK wouldn’t have been possible without the huge blessing from him. We met Lee on our trip to Israel this summer, and had a great time getting to know him and his son Wes. When we were stranded in Atlanta after Israel and disappointed that we were going to miss a couple extra days with family, he promised to help get us home at Thanksgiving. And he totally followed through! What a great guy!! Lee, it was great to see you! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
In the words of my mother-in-law….I’M FILLED

We’re back in the OC, and we had a wonderful time in Oklahoma!!!
Before we left I made a list of places I was craving that only Oklahoma has. I did a pretty good job!
Recap of food eaten:
Rodney’s Pizza
Raising Cane’s
McAlister’s
Hideaway
Teds
Braums
Earl’s BBQ
This doesn’t include Thanksgiving Dinner(s). I’m a little nervous to weigh in at my next doctor’s appointment. Could be ugly…but well worth it! YUM.
We had a wonderful day with my family on Friday and getting to spend the day with our niece Taelyn. She was only a few weeks old last time we saw her and now she’s six months! She’s pretty cute!
Uncle Brook & Aunt KK
Sunday night was our baby shower and we had a great time!!!! These girls had the right idea and served a real meal…hello bbq! What pregnant woman wants to eat crackers and tiny desserts for a baby shower? No thank you…I’m not working on fitting in a wedding gown at the end of this. I think those hospital gowns are huge and I’ll fit just fine

Preggo Friends Aunt Cayce

Big & Little…The greatest friends ever!!
Last pic of us before babies!!!!!!!!!!
It was such a great trip, and a blast to spend time with family & friends in the great state of Oklahoma. I’m happy to be home with my puppy and back to the norm, but vacation is always great!!
Hello December! 3 months until we meet our daughter!!

I’m taking the next few days away from the blog to spend time with family & friends! I am so excited and really enjoying our vacation!

Saturday – FOOTBALL FOOTBALL FOOTBALL!!! Gooooooooooo POKES! Spending some quality time with Brook’s brother, sister, & bro in-law. Going to dinner with Lee & Wes Jackson…so thankful for great friends!
Sunday Part 1 – We’ll be making our grand appearance at an OKC area Lifechurch.tv Campus. Haven’t decided which one yet. It’ll be like Where’s Waldo. Be on the lookout!
Sunday Part 2 – Baby Shower!!!! I’ve never had one of these before for me! Kinda excited! So thankful that we were able to make it to OK and our amazing friends/family put this together for us. Can’t wait to see everyone!!!!
Monday – Probably a little shopping with mom & then off to the airport! Home to the OC and pick up our first born. I sure miss that little guy!
Going to be a great weekend and I’m looking forward to all the amazing time with friends and family. Be on the lookout in a few days for plenty of pictures!!
(Skipping a week on the Friday Belly Shot…I’ll still post one on Twitter & Facebook
)
Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!

Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain!

Today we are off to Okie-homa to spend Thanksgiving with the family (minus the in-laws and reagan. bummer!) This is my first trip to Oklahoma as a pregnant woman. I have been craving things that you can only get there. So here is a list of stops we must make while there.
Braums: cookies and cream shake
Chicken Express: chicken, okra & sweet tea
Raisin’ Cains: chicken, Texas toast, yummy sauce & sweet tea
Steve’s Rib: gooooood okie BBQ & sweet tea
McAlisters: sweet tea
Hideaway: Little Kahuna Pizza
Rodney’s Pizza: pepperoni pizza
Janets: Baked Potato Soup
Teds: about 20 tortillas & queso.
Now I’m hungry! Can’t wait to be there!! And interested to see if I can actually fit all of this yummy food into 5 days with Thanksgiving dinner. Stay tuned my friends.

Vacation Day One began at 3:45 am.
That’s right, it does exist.
We drove over to the Norman’s to drop off Jack. They’re graciously keeping our wonderful son for the next two weeks. Chris got out of bed at 5:00am to take us to the airport. Jack wasn’t so happy to see us go!

After a LOOOONG day of flying, we finally arrived in OKLAHOMA!! My parents picked us up and we were off to Purcell, OK! We stopped for dinner at Rodney’s Pizza, the BEST pizza in the world. HANDS DOWN.

As if I wasn’t stuffed enough already, we stopped to get the best sno cone in the world. HANDS DOWN.

We had a great day hanging out with my parents on the farm! It’s quite a change from the OC, but fun to be home for a bit. Tomorrow we’re heading to my brother’s to see our baby niece for the first time. I can’t decide if I’m more excited to kiss her cheeks or go to Israel. We’ll see.
I’ll leave you with this, what is outside our window as we go to sleep tonight….

Goodnight from the farm,

We had a wonderful weekend getting to see everyone!!!! We flew in Thursday afternoon. I got to see my sweet Cousin, Crista and my very cute preggo Big! I can’t believe I didn’t get a picture with them, but Sarah looks amazing and I can’t wait for little Braden to arrive in a few weeks!!
Thursday evening we got to see Reagan star in her school play “Seussical”. It was so cute! She was The Cat in the Hat…and was amazing! So proud of her and so glad we got to see the play! Love you Reg! Really missed seeing Cayce & Efren!! Can’t wait to see you guys in a couple of months.
Friday we hung out with my parents during the day and then had Rehearsal Dinner. Such a great time getting to see the “Mob”. Love those people so much!!
Saturday I got to hang out with Little all day! Looooove her and so glad I finally got to see her cute loft in downtown Tulsa and actually see her face!
Saturday evening was the wedding. It was a great time. Here are a few pics from the blessed event:

Me & my handsome man!

The Lovely Bride & Groom!

The Girls! (Minus Cayce, Reagan & now Randi!!)
Sunday morning we went to the LifeChurch.tv Edmond Campus. It was great to see some friends and visit LC! Then it was off to Purcell again for some more family time. We finally got to see Stephenie’s cute little baby belly!
We got our wedding cake out of my parents freezer to celebrate our Anniversary (just a month late!!). It was actually really good!! Happy Anniversary baby!!

Yummy Wedding Cake!!

Brother & Fam...baby on the way!
That’s pretty much a recap of the weekend. We had a blast seeing everyone, but it was kinda nice coming back to amazing weather, palm trees, Jack & our bed!! Can’t beat that!

We are off to Oklahoma!! We’re very excited to spend time with our family and friends. Busy few days ahead of us, but all very worth it for some quality time with the fam.
I’ll be taking a blog break while we’re gone, but you can follow our trip by clicking on “my twitter” on the right side of my blog!!
Have a great weekend!!

I was going to post something clever today about how I was pregnant or we are moving back to Oklahoma. However, I figured my parents and in-laws would not find the humor in that and would be very angry at me for getting their hopes up. And frankly, I don’t have the time to answer a million phone calls from people freaking out, so no April Fools jokes here! Extremely busy at work, and just writing a quick blog while I inhale a turkey sandwich.
No babies coming yet, and as of now we’re not going anywhere!! Except to Oklahoma tomorrow to visit
Have a very happy April Fool’s Day!!
Anybody play any good pranks today or have any played on them? Do share!!

Life has been very busy lately, lots going on. I thought I would give a quick update!
- We finally got Rosa (my car) back from the car spa (mechanic) on Wednesday. She is running GREAT now, and I’m so thankful to have her back. After shipping her back to Vegas, the mechanics there fixed her right up…for the second time. Brook flew out to Vegas on Wednesday and brought her back to me. I’m a happy girl.
- Oh the diet. We are really watching the calories and attempting to drop some of this “first year of marriage” weight we’ve put on. I still blame the chocolate chip cookies. Funny thing is, Brook has dropped over 20 pounds and I’ve barely lost a measly 6. Gotta love how that works. He looks great though!!
- We are in the beginning stages of something new and exciting to us. We haven’t decided yet when we’re going to announce what that is, so keep on guessing:)
- We’re coming to Oklahoma next week!!! That’s right!!! It’s been 6 months, and I’m VERY excited to come visit. Chris & Randi are getting married, we are spending lots of time with fam, seeing Reg’s play, seeing my sister-in-law’s cute belly (she pregnant, I’m not just weirdly obsessed with her stomach). Lots to do in 4 days!! Can’t wait!
- Work is great! I’m staying extremely busy, and it’s such a great learning experience and fun time for me! WOO!
- We are well into year number two of marriage. We have goals, we have plans, and we are taking it one day at a time. We love each other, and we love being married!! Nothing beats it. We are working every single day at making one another happy, and have the best marriage possible!

Thank you to everyone for your support and prayers on this new adventure in our life. Keep ‘em coming!! Have a very Happy Friday!!

I’ve been feeling a little homesick this week. (No, mom that doesn’t mean we’re packing up to move back…) It was different being in Texas where we were only a couple hour drive from our families and closest friends. We are still settling in here, and it takes a while to really find great people you connect with. I’m SO thankful for the great friends we’ve already made here, but still makes me miss the ones back home a lot!
Here are a few peeps I’m thinking about and missing…

My amazing parents!!

My big brother & sis in law. She's 6 months preggo and I want to see that belly!

Brothers & Sisters...Probably the greatest picture ever too. Oh..and the In Laws, miss them too

The Practice child...and his parents of course

This girl. A lot.

Simply amazing friends. Sisters.
This place:
We’ll be there 4.2.09. Can’t wait!
