31 days of messy motherhood {day 26}

Day-26

Walking into motherhood can be a terrifying thing. Am I good enough? Am I SMART enough to raise this tiny person? Do I have what it takes?? I worry if I will have the wisdom to give them what they need. Can I do it?

The answer is yes. It's always yes.

“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” Proverbs 31:26

“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

“Discipline your children, and they will give you peace; they will bring you the delights you desire.” Proverbs 29:17

Are you doubting yourself? Turn to the word of God. Let is be that breath of fresh air. The encouragement to get through the day.

No parenting books will give you the answers you need. There's only ONE book that can give you that.

Day-25

You know those toys that you keep tripping over? The represent something.

Your children.

The perfect little blessings that God gave you to raise and care for. Little miracles.

Find the joy in those messes they make!

Day-24

Every stage is difficult for it's own reasons. Don't try to deny the fact that it's hard. This goes right back to the Mommy measuring stick we talked about, there isn't one. When you think that your life seems so much harder than someone else's, trust me. Their kid isn't perfect. Their life isn't perfect.

We all have those REALLY hard days.

I've had several of them lately. My 2 year old has been rough and my 1 year old cries a LOT. That's just life. It's the SEASON I am in, and I'm sure there are hard things about your season too. The best part of mine? The giggles, playing chase, seeing my baby say a new word for the first time.

The joy outweighs the hard stuff ANYDAY.

It's why God invented naps.

Day-23

Have donuts for dinner.

Skip naps and go to the zoo.

Have a picnic and watch a movie.

Keep it fun.

Make memories.

Throw routine and rules out the window.

THAT'S the stuff that childhood is made of!

Day-22

“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” 2 Corinthians 4:17

I really am not calling motherhood a "trouble", but when you are parenting tiny ones it is tough. But it won't last very long at all. Cling tight to this season and pour Jesus into them. THAT outweighs the dirty diapers. And our dirty diapers weigh a LOT.
