the capsule project - the comfy sweater

Welcome to The Capsule Project! If you missed the story behind this series, check it out here! As I talked about in that post, one of my goals for this project was to build some comfy and cute "everyday mom" clothes into my wardrobe. I wanted some items to wear in just my normal routine that didn't consist of sweatpants and a t-shirt. Something I've been drawn to this winter is sweaters. The comfy, baggy, cover everything up sweaters. I love that I can wear these in just my normal everyday attire and be so comfortable but still feel and look put together.

I styled a few of my favorites and wanted to show off one of the looks for you! I absolutely love this striped sweater from Target. It's super comfortable, fits great and even has sparkly yarn so it shimmers a bit! I love that! It wasn't something I would have normally picked up, but since I'm challenging myself to step outside the box a bit, I went for it. And I'm so glad I did!

The Capsule Project - Vision & Goals

I was so excited when my friend Jessi told me about The Capsule Project that she was starting. You can go here to read about her heart behind this project. I wanted to share a little bit of why I decided to jump on board with this project and what you can expect to see in the next few months! My body has changed a LOT in the past 5 years. I have been pregnant 3 times which has really taken a toll on my body. Nothing fits the way it used to and I've practically had to get rid of all of my pre-pregnancy clothes. Last fall I got a head start on this project by cleaning out my closet and figuring out a little better how to dress my new body. But this was just the start of this process for me.

I've always been super hesitant about fashion posts, or talking about clothes. This is NOT about materialism. This is not about pride or any of the negatives that can be thrown at beauty and clothing posts. This is about finding myself in the woman God created me to be and walking confidently in that.

I'm crazy busy with my kids and all of the things I'm involved in, so finding the perfect style that fits my lifestyle is really exciting!  I'm going to be focusing on some key areas of my wardrobe over the next few weeks/months. I'm excited to take this journey toward loving myself and being more confident in who I am!
