staying organized

I'm a über type a, organized kind of person. Having kids has stretched me a lot and amazingly I became very laid back (about some things...) after having kids. I think that you kind of HAVE to be when you have three kids in three years! It's not always easy and I've had to figure out what works for our family.

Sunday Mornings = schedule time. I sit with my planner, a cup of coffee and plan my week.

Meal Planning - I try to plan at least 5 dinners out of the week so I know I have enough in the house when I make it to the store. I typically let the girls have a "girls choice" night, so that usually ends up being corn dogs or peanut butter sandwiches! Easy peasy.

Non-negotiable Planning - Doctors appointments, meetings, date night, etc.

Activity Planning - A look at the week ahead and when we have free time to play!

Downtime Planning - I make sure we have some time to spend a day in our jammies!

I also use a chalkboard in our kitchen to write all of these things down for our week so it's easy for my husband and I to know what is going on all week.

The key to staying organized, is finding what works for YOUR family!
