MY INSTA-BLOG:

In Revelation we get a glimpse of Heaven and the people worshipping God. It’s diverse. There’s no colorblindness, the diversity and colors are recognized and celebrated in heaven and should be recognized and celebrated on Earth. 🙌🏻🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿 2018 has been a rough one for our family. With Kendrick’s surgery, constant sickness, things breaking — I was ready for 2019 by about mid March. I kept asking God to give our family a breath of fresh air. To rejuvenate us. To love on us. And He always surprises us in the craziest ways doesn’t He? More on that soon, but let’s just say 2018 is starting to feel a little happier around the James house. 🙌🏽 #kendrickdjames I’ve learned two very important things being Kendrick’s mom. 1) Representation matters. 2) Boys go through a LOT of bandages. — Combining the two?? YES PLEASE!!! I’m loving these @tcbandages for our busy boy. They come in multiple shades to find that perfect shade of brown. 👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿 No more princess bandages or peach colored for my favorite boy!!! Available online and in Target stores this month!!! #diversityinhealing Alarm clocks, folder signing, stuffing lunch boxes, shoving kids into clothes and out the door to two different schools. These are the wild and crazy days but the days I never want to forget. And sometimes we are lucky and everyone is ready on time (without fighting) and we get to snap a few pictures before headed off for another full day. This is the hardest and best job in the world. #motherhood #thrivemoms #childhoodunplugged #motherhoodunplugged #momlife Four weeks ago today we watched as they took our baby away for surgery and then stood feeling helpless as he lay in the ICU. What got us through? Jesus. I wrote this post for @lcsisters @life.church while in the hospital and it was posted today. If you are walking through hardship - what a friend we have in Jesus. If life is good - what a friend we have in Jesus. Read the post at finds.life.church. 🙌🏽 #parenting #lchowsweetthesound #lifechurch #lcsisters #motherhood Believe it or not this is a perfectly normal way for my children to watch a movie together. We are big on personal space in our home. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 Got to sneak away for a bit with my favorite guy today. We take such serious and fabulous selfies, someone give us an award for this. 🥇But for real — what a day of being encouraged by people way smarter than us and pushing us to keep chasing after what we are passionate about. God has stirred up some big things in our hearts since adopting Kendrick and we are so excited/honored/terrified to take this journey. None one else I’d rather walk through the wonderfully terrifying things of life with than you @brookjames 👊🏽 I’ve learned so much from these men and I’m so thankful for them! Pass the Mic 200th Episode Live today was amazing!! #ptmlive The Thrive Moms community starts a new study on April 25! Join us!! Have you ever felt you weren’t qualified to be a follower of Jesus? Praying for a big change in the future of education for the state of Oklahoma. As someone who was raised by two teachers, and my brother and sister-in-law are both OK educators and administrators now, I’ve seen first hand how hard it can be. I remember the countless hours my parents spent working outside of school hours and how dedicated every teacher was to their job. It’s not okay that Oklahoma falls at the bottom of the list of education and that there is inadequate funding. These children deserve so much more. (I may be biased but my beautiful niece in this picture deserves more!) I’m thankful that despite the lack of funding, I had teachers that worked above and beyond to educate me and I get to chase my dreams now. Imagine what kids could do in schools that were funded?? (And let me be real. Teachers, you are literally my heroes. I would rather have all of my teeth pulled out than teach a classroom of 20+ kids. They deserve the absolute best and then more.) #oklaed
