I’ve talked many times about how I’m not a huge fan of pregnancy. I often wonder what pregnancy and childbirth was to be like before the fall of man. Was it going to be perfect and painless? Would people have had way more children because there was no pain? Would the world be extremely over populated because no one
died and all women just wanted to have babies because it was such a blast?
Genesis 3:16 Then he said to the woman,
“I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy,
and in pain you will give birth.
I find myself a lot of times wondering what pregnancy and childbirth was like for Mary, the mother of Jesus. Did she get a break? Did she have 9 months of morning sickness and all the wonderful “joys” that many women face in pregnancy? She didn’t get an epidural or any drugs, but did God feel for her and lessen the pain as she gave birth to the Savior of the world?
So many questions I will ask when I get to heaven. I imagine there will be a long line of women waiting to meet Eve. That poor women messed it up for all of us, and frankly she’s not my favorite person right now as I am very uncomfortable and dealing with all kinds of pains in my 35th week.
Well ladies….get in line. I’ve got a bone to pick with Eve.

Just remember both of your grandmas gave birth to your parents at home. You come from tough stock.

Oh sweet Kara-Kae, I miss you so much, when I went to Wendy’s shower it made me miss you even more.. This post made me think of each one of my pregnancy’s of course my first and 4th were my hardest. For so many different reason’s.. I know you are in the end of the hard time, but I will tell you that every day just try to remember that you are carrying such a bundle of joy, and it is only for a time, you will actually miss being pregnant – I know hard to believe but very true… I know our little bodies take on alot and it is just one of the things about it is try and stay mentally strong… I love reading your post and I think you are doing great.. You look beautiful and I can not wait to see that sweet little girl, she is going to be precious..
I love you
Hang in there.. Remember this too shall pass and well you will miss it when it is over… I promise.. 5 times and I would do it all again, and none of them were one bit easy…:)))

good post! I wonder all of those things too! Not that I have any idea what being pregnant is like, but it would be cool to hear how Mary’s was. Hang in there, you’re soooo close!!!

The pain is 90% in your mind. As a doula, I have found that women who are used to calming their minds with prayer or meditation have the best ability to overpower their bodies with thoughts that it isn’t painful. I had an amazing pain-free labor myself…very intense but not painful.
