Hubby & I decided to enjoy a nice relaxing last Halloween before our little one enters the world. We have many years ahead of us of costumes and way too much candy! Luckily it’s Saturday evening and we are curled up on the couch enjoying some college football!
I always loved Halloween as a kid! I wanted to share a few too cute pics of me and the hubby as kiddos.
My first Halloween, as a clown!
Me & my brother with “Winston”, we made him every year!
A cheerleader & a nerd. Oh-so-fitting.
My cute hubby as Raggedy Andy…or a clown?
Brook as Superman/Mighty Mouse. No, this wasn’t actually Halloween,
a daily thing for him but too cute to not share!
I’m really excited to dress up our little girl next year and get candy!! She won’t be old enough to be able to eat the candy so mommy & daddy will get to eat it all!! WOOOOO!!! I hope everyone had a great Halloween!
What was your favorite costume you ever wore as a kid?
Ummmm….I used to be able to look down and see my feet.
Not so much anymore. Yikes. I hope my shoes match.
My view from the top:
21 weeks today!!!!!!!!!
Only about 19 more weeks to go until we meet Baby Girl (I’m hoping it’s more like 17-18 though!). She couldn’t get here soon enough! She’s become a little martial arts queen lately and has been kicking around like crazy which mommy & daddy love!!
Pregnancy is…. interesting. I made it through the phase of hardly being able to eat anything and have now entered the phase of wanting to eat EVERYTHING.
Yesterday I was craving one of those GIANT Baked Potatoes smothered in Chopped BBQ Beef.
My favorite is from Jason’s Deli, but the closest Jason’s to us was at least 2 hours away. So my amazing husband did all he could to find me one, and he succeeded. He’s got this pregnancy stuff down. What a good man I have!!
Some may think it looks gross…but I think it’s a little slice of heaven. And Baby Girl thought so too! YUM.
Pregnancy sure brings on some interesting cravings, and they don’t ever seem to go away until you satisfy them. So I’ve been doing my best to satisfy
Another major one of mine is chocolate milk. However, I’m lactose intolerant. Awesome. I drink Lactaid Milk, and I swear I am responsible for keeping them in business. You’re welcome, Lactaid.
If you’ve been pregnant or your significant other has, what have been some crazy cravings you or she has had?
Our parents always told us that when we had kids of our own we’d understand why they love us so much and why they do the things they do for us.
Hey mom & dad…I’m starting to get it.
After marrying who I believe to be the greatest man on the planet, I wasn’t sure I’d have enough love inside of me to love anything else.
It’s amazing how God creates babies, and grows our love for them over time. I’ve never seen her little face. I’ve never held her hand, or touched her. I am patiently (some days not-so-patiently) waiting until the day I get to see her face to face!
How much is that like our relationship with God? We haven’t seen him, or touched him. Yet we talk to him everyday and look so forward to the day we see his face.
As much as I’m not a fan of pregnancy…I’m a fan of this love. I am growing more in love with my baby girl everyday, and more in love with a perfect God who created her and is shaping her everyday inside of me.
We have lived in our Condo in Huntington Beach for 10 months. When we moved in, it was fully furnished, but they were supposed to get their things out in a few weeks. Well…a few weeks turned into a few months. A few months turned into a lot of months. Yesterday, they finally finished moving out.
We finally have the entire place to ourselves, but now we have to decide what to do. Do we move out in December to find a bigger place, but possibly farther from the beach? Do we stay for another year?
Pros:
-We love where we live!!!
-We live 3 blocks from the beach/downtown HB.
-It’s a really nice place for the price.
-I feel safe there, and would feel safe with Baby Girl & I being alone there when Daddy is at work.
Cons:
-No bathtub, only a huge shower. Could we get a little tub for Baby Girl? She would be about 9 months when we would move next Decemeber.
-It’s a long way to take Jack out.
-Not much room for when guests come to visit.
-I have to pack…when I’m 6 months preggo. Yikes.
I guess a lot comes down to what we find for a good price. Lots to think about. Thanks for listening
Well…it’s offical. We made if halfway! 20 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Baby Girl is the size of a banana. I still don’t really get the “fruit comparisons”, but whatever.
She is about 10 1/2 ounces and about 10 inches long. Wow…seems huge, but yet so tiny! When we got a glimpse of Baby Girl the other day in our ultrasound, she was wiggling around, opening her mouth, waving her arms. An active little girl we have!! And she is really enjoying kicking mommy now that’s she’s figured that out!
The first half really flew by. Everyone tells me the second half goes really fast, so before I know it I’ll have little Baby Girl in my arms. Wow! I can’t wait! Only 140 days to go!!
I feel like I should throw myself a party today or something!!!! Maybe I will
Things they don’t warn you about before getting pregnant:
Puking day & night
Back Pain
You’ll not even recognize your body anymore
All of your clothes get too small. I mean ALL of them
The ability to lose your energy walking across the room
The gross stuff I can’t even begin to mention on my blog
Back Pain
Forget sleeping normal
Bladder! Why do you always feel full!?!
Back Pain!
WHOA HORMONES! Where did my normal brain go?
The tears will come at any moment of any day
Loss of your perfect skin
Something else taking over your body
BACK PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Much more like it…
Wait…did I mention….More joy than you can imagine?!?! It cancels out all the bad to know a wonderful, precious little baby girl is growing and having a ball inside of me!!!
Tomorrow I reach that joyous halfway point. The first half has been…interesting and I expect the second half to be full of even more surprises and pains I didn’t know I had in me. Here we go baby girl…20 more weeks until we see your face!
I will be a great mom, because I don’t have to do it alone. I’m so incredibly thankful for an amazing man that supports and encourages me. What did I ever do without this guy???
Wow I’m blessed. And this little girl is going to be sooooooooo wrapped around her daddy’s finger. It’s ridiculous.
Thanks for stopping by! This blog is a mixture of writings from a pastor's wife & soon-to-be mommy. I hope that you can come here to laugh, be inspired, be encouraged and find an avenue to be YOU! So kick back, enjoy and stay a while!
